There are generally two classes of users of goAskem.net services - creators of assessments (i.e., tests and surveys) and respondents to such assessments.  Creators of assessments we will refer to as Administrators.  Respondents we will refer to as Respondents.

As an Administrator or Respondent we may use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our Web site. Your IP address may be used to help identify you and your test/survey-creation session for the period of your creation effort only, and not for the purpose of gathering demographic information.  Your IP address will never be provided to other companies, except as may be required to aid in the diagnosis of problems in the delivery of services you have previously and explicitly elected to utilize.

Our site may use web browser cookies (as invented by Netscape and supported by Sun Microsystems in their Java Servlets specification) to maintain continuity of Administrators' assessment-creation sessions, or assessment taking sessions of Respondents.

Our site's Administrator registration form requires you to give us contact information (like your name and email address), and, optionally, demographic information (like your zip code). We may use contact information from the registration form to send you information about our company. This contact information will not be shared with other companies.   Information that is collected may be used to bill you as an Administrator for services you have explicitly elected to utilize.

Depending on Administrators' choices, they may request from Respondents to assessments (that we host) contact information (like an email address) and demographic information (like a zip code). We will not use contact data from Administrators' assessments to send Respondents information about our company or promotional material. The Respondents' contact information will never be used by goAskem.net to contact Respondents, except possibly to convey information specifically pertaining to their test/survey (such as to convey a test score, or a testing time limit, etc.) in some manner as an Administrator may have explicitly elected to specify beforehand.

We may use outside ad companies or services to display advertising on our site. These ads may utilize cookies. While we may use cookies in other parts of our Web site, cookies received with banner ads may be collected by such ad companies, and we do not have access to this information. Some contest participant data that we collect may be shared with the advertising companies or other partners.

Public Forums Caution

This site may now or in the future contain chat rooms, forums, message boards, and/or news groups that are available to its users. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise extreme caution when deciding to disclose any personal information in such public forums.

Choice/Opt-Out

While our site may not provide the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from us at every point where we request information about you, this site gives you the following options for removing your information from our database to not receive future communications, and, consequently, to no longer utilize our service.
